I happened upon this completely by accident. Quite a few of the suggestions echo things I’ve been saying for a long time. I note particularly the connection between happiness and health.
Rough day at BK
Transcribed from my diary for Sunday 2017-03-12, for now I am intentionally leaving this unfinished.
Rough day at BK. I may not have the guts to recall and tell it all. But behind it I feel certain of (1) what Jesus did among the poor, and (2) what my task is at the shelter, and what it takes for me to leave. (3) I have suspected for some time that the real means of wealth creation, of upward mobility, is different from anything we have ever imagined. I have a notion of what it may be, and enough confidence in it to act on it, but it’s still very hard to believe.
The question is whether these certainties are enough to overcome my fear of uncertainty, my fear of the unknown.
Tea Party porn? Michele Bachmann’s puzzling blog
(Originally posted 11/25/13.)
11/13/13 I googled “Ted Williams the homeless blogger” to see if “First of all …” would appear. I didn’t find it, but I did find “Ted Williams: Criminal / Liberal Homeless Sensation!,” Michele Bachmann’s mean-spirited(*) post on the same subject.
She has a puzzling blog.
If you click on the “POPULAR POSTS” tab, there is a very extensive post about Stacy Keibler, copying the whole Wikipedia article about her and full of racy photos and videos.
There are similar voyeuristic posts about Gisele Bundchen, Jenny McCarthy, Zoe Saldana, Eva Mendes and others.
The Tea Party agenda appears to be broader than I’d supposed.
talk show host, on air talent, talk radio, the homeless blogger
(*)“Mean-spirited” is a characterization, and a term I will not normally allow myself to use on The William Tell Show. I have just now broken my own rules by using it here. The policy and reasons for it will become clearer once I post Free Speech Handbook on this site. For the moment, one may consult my resume.

“During the interview with Cernovich, the 60 Minutes team realized that the very definitions of words like ‘true’ and ‘false’ were not agreed upon by everyone in the room.”

Kansas prisoners get the granny treatment
(Originally posted 11/23/13.)
Steve Hartman’s “On the Road” segment for the CBS Evening News, 11/01/13:
Kan. prisoners get the granny treatment
Here is a practical example of how brightening the “divine spark” within people can effect redemption or transformation.
Welcome to a newcomer
Since I have reason to believe a few completely new people may be visiting today, let me recommend in particular a really good, old post I happened across yesterday:
Courage to walk unarmed
Enjoy!

Unexpected research results

I mean to include in my audition audio files, a telling of the story of the Trojan horse — or Trojan War. I’ve wanted to conclude that telling, with the story of how the man who discovered the modern location of the actual ancient Troy, supposedly did so based on information he saw in a dream. To verify my information, yesterday I read portions of the book Finding the Walls of Troy, by Susan Hueck Allen. I did not find exactly what I was looking for.

Justice and feedback
Ever since grade school, I’ve been fervently interested in prison reform. I had compassion for these “bad people.” I would want the prison experience to give a “bad” person every reason, every chance, every motivation to mend one’s ways. But this is definitely not happening in our prisons now.
