We can change history.
My daily prayer time begins with prayer for various chronic health conditions. The last one on the list is my right ear: for years, I’ve had significant hearing loss in that ear resulting from a patulous eustachian tube. I believe my youngest brother, my mother, and her mother all have or had the same thing in the same ear also.
One morning, I came to that point in my prayers, and stopped. I noted that I have prayed for that condition every day for many years, and there has never been any change. I said, maybe this is no more likely to be healed in this life, than Verna Moeller’s disfigurement was likely to be healed in this life. She is beyond the veil, now, but at that moment I devoted significant time and energy to her healing.
Yes, it’s an extremely biased article. But it’s warranted.

President Biden and his immediate predecessor issued Easter messages that were as different as the men themselves. Other living presidents weighed in as well.
Biden, who wished the nation a “Happy Easter” on Twitter, invoked the teachings of Christian savior Jesus Christ in his missive.
“As we reflect today on Christ’s Resurrection, we are reminded that with faith, hope, and love — even death can be defeated,” the president tweeted. “From our family to yours, we wish you hope, health, joy, and the peace of God, which passes all understanding. Happy Easter and may God bless and keep you.”
Easter is a Christian festival commemorating the resurrection of Jesus three days after his death by crucifixion. For many Christians, Easter weekend is the end to the Lenten season of fasting and penitence.
The surprise is that it’s never happened to me before.
Seeking ways to occupy myself, I chose to resurrect the composition of my second book, Get on your feet. Reading the portions that have already been written, I found that they’re so meritorious as to deserve publication right away, without waiting to write the rest of the book. So, I uploaded them.
They’re here:
At first glance, I’m skeptical. However, the facts are what the facts are.
