Make ’em all taxpayers

Anticipating November, Democrats act desperately

Kathleen Parker says Democrats are pushing the minimum wage increase in a “desperate” effort to boost turnout at the midterm elections, whereas the proposal stands no chance of passing Congress.

As a policy of The William Tell Show, I’m more interested in an issue’s substance than in who will win.

The minimum wage increase may not be a good idea, but relates to numerous issues of personal concern to me.

Violent funeral of career criminal killed by homeowner ‘cost £15,000 of taxpayers’ cash’

Henry Vincent was a burglar.  An elderly man whose house he broke into, killed him.  The funeral is somehow estimated to have cost £100,000.

The funeral procession became an “uprising.”  The police were ready.  They had had intelligence about it.  This was planned.

Vincent was a Traveler.  More about them shortly.  If you Google “Henry Vincent traveler,” you’ll come up with a lot about him.  He and accomplices were predatory.

I suspect the film At Close Range deals with Travelers.  It proves to be a true story, and very sad and grim. Continue reading The Travelers

Biscuits and scones

Every thought is a prayer.”  To the end of making good use of the four hours or so every day we’re compelled to be idle at the shelter; and of speeding the day when I’ll find my own place; I’ve taken to daydreaming intentionally about things I’d like to do in my own place.  Some of those, I mean to share here, as doing so involves giving more time to those dreams.  Many involve cooking foods I like that we never get at the shelter.  Related: “What a homeless man dreams of.

The earlier post entitled “Change your diet” was all about words. One needs also to be aware of the feelings and attitudes music itself brings out in you, and choose accordingly.

Lesson 22: Pronouns

Issues that have come up in my own typing tell me that I need to focus early on, on those words that people actually type most often, regardless of letter combinations.  The next several lessons will do that.  In later editions of this course, they will be presented much sooner.

At the moment, I don’t know for certain which of two ways to finger “him,” so I’ve presented both ways.
