My bud thinks he’s engaged to this woman.

He had told me they met online, that she lives in Brazil and is rich.  Then in a recent voicemail (He has no phone.), he gave me her name.  So I looked her up on Facebook.

He’s 60+ years old, like me; homeless, uses a wheelchair, and looks a mess.

He could be her grandfather.

But “she” leaves passionate comments on his FB posts.

What I don’t understand is what this person possibly thinks “she” can get from a 60+ year old homeless man.

Jimmy

16:01 Saturday 2014-06-28.  [Written in the “smoke pit” at the shelter, waiting admission.]

They escorted Jimmy out of here about half an hour ago.  He’s always been a milquetoast.  Now he was shouting and cursing.  “Yeah, I been drinking.”  Whatever happened at the desk, he’s barred out now.  I owe him $2.

He’s diagnosed with bipolar II disorder and ADHD.  I’ve seen him reading books about both of those diseases, but never anything about alcoholism.

Rainbows

Baltimore is more likely than other places, to have weather when you can see rainbows. We are coming now into a period when this is especially so. We will probably have another such time again in September.

The key to seeing rainbows is, three things have to happen at the same time:
(1) The sun is shining
(2) while it rains, and
(3) there is blue sky somewhere.
